You send us your pictures by post or email and we print them onto fabric
and make it into stuff... easy. |
We spent a lot of cash on this website, so we want
you to use us more than once....best way to do that
is to DELIGHT YOU with outstanding
quality in every aspect of you pictures transformation
into stuff.
We believe that the quality of our textile printing
and the stuff it gets made into, is the best in the
market. |
Very very very very very... is that durable
enough? (a transcript of this technical description
is available below.)
The Dyetex process ensures the fabric is not coated or printed 'onto... the colour you see is actually 'in' the fabric at a molecular level (our resident boffin is available to elaborate, just wake me up when he's done) basically you need to destroy the textile before you lose any colour.
Is that hard enough for ya? |
Very very very very very very very...
I think
that's even more durable than the print...
so that must be good. I guess your getting the durable
thing now shall we move on? |
Yes, the print is lightfast and totally water proof.
As long as you tell everyone who see's it, where
you got it from we'll let you hang it outside. |
No. We print textiles.
If you want plastic looking canvas go to your local department store or do
a google search for 'rubbish prints'...
You'll find loads...
NOT ALL DIGITAL PRINTS
ARE THE SAME...
and I will say 'I told you
so...' |
No.
Unlike other companies, the price quoted by photostuffdirect
is the price you pay to get it from your postie. Shipping
is FREE. All prices INCLUDE VAT. |
(Boffin Alert!)
Minor artwork retouching is included,
we always optimise the image for the best results.
This
includes:
Exposure correction so the highlights, and
shadows are as close to you original as you can get.
We will sharpen the image, resize, format the image
to the size needed for your print, proportion, remove
any date stamp and reduce red eye.
We don't offer major restoration or creases scratches
or generally shabby prints in with the price. We are
very clever I grant you, but magicians we are not...
(although John can make a pork pie disappear before
your eyes... does that count?)
If you strictly want us NOT TO TOUCH ANYTHING
please say (we won't be offended).
However If you require extensive retouching we will
make a basic £10 charge. You can buy a CD of the
retouched image too (£4) which can be useful if
it's a cherished photo.
We will contact you before doing
any extra work though. Coz we're nice like that. |
Oh no .... I'm off to sleep I'll let the boffin
take over. Digital images:
Upload then when you order or burn them onto a
disk, Most modern digital cameras are capable
of producing fairly good results when enlarged.
Ideally, the resolution of your digital image
needs to be a minimum of 300 dpi for a normal
4 x 6 print allowing us to enlarge it and still
maintain excellent print quality at actual size.
In some cases, we can work with lower resolution.
If you have no idea about the image resolution,
send it and we’ll have a look.
Prints: Post in. We scan any
original photograph up to A4 (8.5 inches wide
by 11.75) preferably no smaller than 2.5 x 2.5
inches.
When sending photographs, artwork or disks to
us, please ensure that it is packed in a decent
rigid envelope and wrapped as necessary.
Don't use paperclips.
Address your envelope before putting the photo
in, make sure the ink on order form is dry before
placing against photo(s). We cannot be held responsible
for loss or damage of photo in postal system.
We return photo with finished item with signed
for delivery. If the photo is of sentimental/monetary
value please make a copy before sending it to
us.
Has he gone?? Clever bloke.....he still cant tie
his own shoe laces tho... |
Yes.
That was an easy one. C'mon try a bit harder. |
That's more like it...
We do reserve the right not to reproduce a picture if
we think it will cause offence or infringe any copyright
law.
Bags and stitched stuff
When you choose your photo,
make sure the subject is clear and has enough room around
it to fit the shape of the thing you want it on (diagrams
are on the order form).
Please bear in mind that there
is approximately 8-10mm of the fabric print that gets
stitched into the bag item by hand on all four sides.
We do our very best to avoid handle eyelets landing
on any key features.
Canvas frame prints
These wrap around edge to the reverse of the frame.
Please be sure to avoid any key subject at the edge
of the photo.
There is an 'artwork submission tips' sheet
with nice pictures, you can see when you print the order
form, that even I can understand!!!! |
What ever you want... after all its your bag ... one
side .... both sides with same picture ...or both sides
with a different picture ... it simply depends how much
you want to spend, see price list oohhh how slick
are we? |
SERIOUS NOTE
Yes. We are very careful
with people's photographs. They are stored safely. Me?
Grown up? |
Well the stuff is that hardwearing I can't tell
you much here, don't use a wire brush or a drill
on it, don't put a 1.2meter x 1 meter stretched
canvas print in your washing machine, if it gets dirty
wash it with soapy water, if you rip it order a new
one. |
We hold the prints on our server for 28 days, to comply
with the data protection act (ask the other printers
how they comply?) |
Our crack team of elves will craft your stuff with there bare hands taking
a full 14 days just on your order alone, I'd show you a picture but
they are very shy...
If you need a rush order for a specific birthday / wedding / mothersday
/ anniversary / impatient person let us know and we will do our best to
give the evles extra portions of gruel and rush it through. |
